Girls Getaway to Vegas

Just wanted to share a "tad" about our "Girls Getaway" to Las Vegas last week-end.  Will do that mostly with pictures and hope you will enjoy sharing in our fun time.
As you can see, my luggage was labeled heavy but it did weigh in under the 50# mark at only 48.7#. How's that for  cutting it close. ~smile~
My trusty Kindle kept me occupied on our flight there. Just in case you are wondering, I am currently reading "The Help."

We stayed at The Bellagio and we had an 800 square foot suite fit for a Queen.  It was truly like something out of a fairytale.  The bathroom had about 5 mirrors and room enough for all 3 of us to be in there at the same time and lots and lots of room left over.  We were more than pleased!

The decor was out of this world too. It was decked out with gorgeous fall decorations and then beautiful fresh flowers every where we looked.

We enjoyed The Fashion Show Mall and found a few treasures there.  These gals were decked out for Halloween at one of the cosmetic counters I visited.

We saw Cher in concert on Sat. evening and I must say that her voice is just as good today as it was 40 years ago. Quite amazing!  But, I do have to say that, in my estimation, she is just not as good without Sonny.

I cannot begin to describe to you some of the sites we saw and I'm sure a lot of that had to go with the fact that it was Halloween week-end.  One of the taxi drivers told us that Halloween week-end is the 2nd busiest week-end in Las Vegas, with New Year's being the 1st.  We could hardly believe that since we didn't even realize it was Halloween week-end when we made our travel plans.

Speaking of taxis............we took the opportunity to witness to each taxi driver that we had and I think there were about 4. One of my traveling buddies took some Plan of Salvation tracts with her and was able to give those to our taxi drivers.  Hopefully we planted a seed that will harvest in their lives.

Yes, the "Gathering of the Goddesses" was  a fun time. We made a lot of memories, shared a lot of fun and are thankful to be able to call each other "dear friends."

  5. Looks like you all had an amazing time. I am still wondering about the long delay in Cher getting there, though!

How precious that you shared the plan of salvation with the taxi drivers! You may never know the blessings that come out of that!

Have a great rest of the week!

  6. I loved reading some of the stories behind the pictures! We have never stayed in the Bellagio but we need to - simply beautiful! We always walk through to see the beautiful flowers but stay loyal to Ceasars - I need to put my foot down next trip! So glad you enjoyed yourself :) xoxo, Kelly

  8. So, I just love Cher. When I was in Denmark studying abroad, her I Believe song came out. I had never been much of a Cher fan before, but the Danes were crazy about her. SO FUN!

I'm glad you had a fabulous time!

  9. What fun! You know, I'm a lot closer to Las Vegas than you, but I have not been there.

I wanted to read The Help, but there's a lot list on requests at the library. Will have to wait awhile.

  11. I'm so glad I didn't miss this post on your trip to Vegas. How much fun was that? I love the Bellagio! How fabulous to spend time there with your friends. I'm glad to hear Cher still sounds good. I always used to enjoy her. She must be getting old though (just like me :)).

Don't you just love your Kindle? I received mine as a gift and believe me, I use it and love it. It's great when you travel and don't want to have to pack books to read.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
