A Big "Shout Out" for Rachel

Good Morning Company Gals!  I've been looking forward to this post all week.  I'm just been about to "pop my britches" to tell you about meeting Rachel and our Spring Event last week!

Let me just say, it was AWESOME!  From the time I picked Rachel up at the airport until I took her back, I felt like we had been friends for a long, long time.  She has the sweetest spirit, the kindest heart and radiates with a love and desire for our Lord.

To make the time even more special, Lydia Cate and her sweet 5 month old Amber came over and it was a blessing that she was able to make it over for the event.  And, I was doubly blessed by getting to have both Lydia Cate, Amber and Rachel spend the night in our home.

Rachel was a definite "hit" with the ladies who attended our Spring Event.  She stirred our hearts, made us laugh and left us wanting more.  Now, you know when a speaker does that, it had to be good.  We were not looking at our watches wondering when it would be over, we just sat and soaked it all up.  And, I must tell you that her entire talked centered around her donkey, Flash.  Yep, that's right!  Her subject was "Donkey Principals" and let me tell you, if we all lived by those 3 powerful principals, we'd be so much better off.  It was truly a night of blessing.

The only regret I have is that every one of you could not be attendance.  Oh, what fun that would have been, but we did have another Company Gal join us for the evening from
about 25 miles away and she brought two of her friends with her.  We're so glad Lyndsey could join us!

One last word.........if you are ever in need of a speaker for the  ladies group at your church, I highly recommend Rachel.  You hearts will be blessed beyond measure and you will not be disappointed.  I have heard the comment, "she's the best speaker we've ever had" over and over this week.  And, ladies we've been having this Spring Event about 10-12 years, so that is quite the compliment.

I know the Lord will continue to use Rachel as she follows His leading in this area of her life.

I look forward to the next time I get to be with her.

  1. Lea, you are so sweet! I felt exactly the same way about you - like we were old friends who'd just met! I guess that's what you call "kindred spirits." Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home and sharing your southern hospitality with Lydia Cate and me. I am still flying high from last week - getting to experience the Holy Spirit's power in my weakness was beyond exciting. Your kind words have encouraged me so much.

If Flash only knew how inspirational he is out there in that pasture, we would never hear the end of it. Who would think that God could use him (or me!)....but then God is full of surprises.

    Love, Rachel

  4. Yes! yes! yes! I agree completely! What a wonderful time it was. Thank you Lea so much for having Amber and I. I too am still talking about and living high off that 24 hour trip. Thank you again Lea and Tommy for everything. You both are a blessing. It was a privilege to be in your home and visit with you. I look forward to seeing you again. And I'll just tell you I'm praying for an opportunity for a company girl get together in the near future. What fun that would be!

I hope to have the opportunity some time before I move back to Norway next year at least.
