Friday's Letters

Dear Internet - I cannot imagine shopping without you.  You almost make shopping way too easy, but I love it.  I've already started my Christmas shopping through you.  My kids can just email me the link to the items they want and I can merely click on that link and PRESTO, it's done!  Can I just say that the UPS man knows us well and our dogs welcome him when he drives up with another package.

Dear Fudge - I always start making you in October and haven't made my first batch just yet, but I will be doing just that shortly.  I have about 60 pounds to make between now and Christmas and by starting now, it makes it a fairly easy task. Thank goodness you freeze really well.  Otherwise, think I'd be "up the creek without a paddle." ~grin~  I've been making you for over 20 years now and it has become almost like therapy for me.  And, can I just say, the folks that are the recipients continue to look forward to this little "Christmas happy" each year.

Dear Hanna Beth (Our Granddaughter)  - I cannot believe that you are about to be 3 years old.  I will never forget the day that you came into our lives.  It was one of God's greatest gifts to our family  when your birth Mother made the decision to give you up for adoption, she truly showed just how much she loved you.  You have the sweetest spirit, the brightest smile and you have been such a joy to us. We love you dearly sweetheart!

Dear Mitt - can I just say that you "hit it out of the park" Wednesday evening and made me very proud.

Dear BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) - I never knew there was so much to know about the book of Genesis until I became apart of BSF. My goodness, you are stretching my brain about as far as it can be stretched in the Word and making me think more than I've ever had to think in a Bible Study.  You are a class act organization for sure!

Dear Karen - I could not be happier with my new blog design. I am so glad that there are folks like you that know all this blog design stuff and can help folks like myself have beautifully designed blogs.  And, a big thank you that you allow folks to talk to you via the telephone about their blog design.  I simply could never convey what I wanted by simply filling out a questionnaire and  emailing it back to you. In my book - you are TOPS.  I mean you have done all of the blog designs I have ever have. That should say something! ~grin~ (If any of you bloggers are interested in checking out Karen's website, scroll down my side bar and when you see the button with Valentine Designs, click on it and it will take you right to her)

And, this was just too cute not to share...........

  1. Internet shopping totally is the BEST thing ever...and the worst thing for my budget haha but it really does come in handy, especially for Christmas gifts! I bet your fudge is TO DIE FOR...maybe I can convince you to send me a little sample! I'm attempting to come down to LA soon to visit some friends in NOLA, so maybe we could finally schedule a little meet up...how much fun would we have?? Happy Friday to you!

  4. I just LOVE shopping online ... no crowds, no driving from store to store, and often cheaper prices. I do a whole lot of my shopping online (even fabrics for quilting).

Your blog design is simply gorgeous!

And I just love that sign at the end!

  5. I know what you mean about the internet making shopping easy. I check out my niece's Pinterest boards to find gifts for her. Your blog is looking good. And I have to agree with your assessment of Mitt. Way to go! Now everyone get out and ...vote.

It's always a pleasure to visit you.

  8. I love shopping online too. When my kids see the UPS truck they say "Mom, our friend is here". He brings lots of goodies so is our friend ;)
Do you have your own recipe for fudge? I've only made it a couple of times and used the Nestle recipe.

  10. I forgot to mention how happy I am that you are enjoying BSF. Yes, it is very in depth. But it is wonderful. You learn so much about the Scriptures. Anne Graham Lotz was a teaching leader in North Carolina for many years. I was involved in BSF for at least 8 years and still have life long friendships with many ladies through this organization.
