The first Monday of August, how did that happen? The year is half over. But, today is Monday and it's time for a few hello's............
Hello Formidible Women...........If you have been "hanging around" my blog for very long then you know that The Formidible Women is the name of a group of 7 women (2 were unable to go with us Friday) that get together 3 times a year to celebrate each others' birthday. If I remember correctly we have been doing this for 17 years. This past Friday we went on an outing to Ruston, La. (about 55 miles from here) and there is never a dull moment when we are together. We are all so different and definitely a "force to be reckoned with," thus the name, Formidible Women. ~chuckle~

Hello a little bit of everything........our first stop on our birthday outing was at a place called The Beehive. I hardly know how to describe it. There was jewelry and more jewelry, shoes and more shoes, tee shirts of every description,clothing, scarves, home decor and furniture. We could have spent our entire outing there but we had "other fish to fry" so we only stayed about 45 minutes and all walked out with a few items "we couldn't live without." I'm planning to go back when I have unlimited time.

Hello house progress.....it is beginning to "finally" look like a house is going up. The studs began going up this week but only for 2 days, the rest of the week it rained. But, they plan to be back to work this morning. We're in the process of choosing windows, front door, brick and shingles. I didn't know that it can take up to 3 months for some of this to come in, especially the front door. So, while we do not need any of this anytime soon, we have to pick it out so the contractor will know how big to make the window and front door openings.

I always enjoy my visits to your blog. That shop looks like a fun place to visit. I love those signs. Your friends look like fun; just like you. The house is very exciting. Looking forward to seeing photos of the progress.

It's so wonderful you have your group of friends. My grandmother had a group like that too. I hope someday I can have close friends that I can enjoy doing things like that with :)

I have a few lifelong friends like that and it makes me so happy to think of the great times we have together. The Beehive sounds awesome. I'll have to check it out the next time I visit my mom (Magnolia, AR). We'd have a blast there. Glad you had a good time. Also...the house has beams!! Progress is progress! Fun times ahead!
