Friday Letters

It's been a while since I wrote some letters and today seemed a good day to do so.  Sometimes you just have to get some stuff off your chest and make some comments and letter writing is a good way to do that.

Dear Duggar Family.....I feel so sorry for you and am so sorry that your family is going through this difficult time.  I commend you in the way you handled your interview with Megan Kelly on Fox News.  I am reminded of the saying, "there but for the grace of God go I."  I mean, absolutely NO one is exempt from issues such as this and many others.  It makes me all the more grateful that I serve a loving and forgiving God and I do not have to stand before man, but before God almighty.

Dear Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner....I'm sorry, but unlike a lot of the media that is hailing you as "courageous," I see you as a man that needs the Lord.

Dear Sunshine....I cannot thank you enough for making your presence known the past week and a half.  As a result, we now have a completed driveway and that is such a great thing.
Dear Wal-Mart....sometimes I think you exist just to test my Christianity.  No joke, I get so aggravated with your lack of customer service that I could scream.  But, that still small voice inside of me constantly reminds me to "rise above it" and to remember "whose I am." ~so tough at times~ And, since you have no competition here in our fair town, it makes it even worse.

Dear Wal-Mart Optical....for the customer service that the Wal-Mart store is lacking, you make up for in a big way.  I have worn glasses for the past 50+ years and I have never had anyone be so detail when I was ordering a new pair of glasses.  AND, your prices are quite unbelievable!!!! You definitely have a repeat customer in me.

Dear Bed Bath and Beyond....first, I love your store except that it is just simply not big enough for all the millions of items that you have in it.  You have buggies available to use but there's hardly a way to use one with your narrow aisles and overstuffed shelves. I might buy more if I could actually see all that you have to offer.  I'm thinking you should rethink your layout. ~just sayin'~

Dear Hubby....it's hard to believe that we will be celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary tomorrow.  Are we really old enough to have been married that long?  It's been an awesome ride and I'm thankful that the Lord placed us in each others lives and I pray He gives us many more years.  I'm afraid that many couples today do not have the commitment of "til death do we part."  Happy 44th!

Dear Hanna Beth....it makes my heart smile to see you already finding the value in a best friend.  You and Hannah are so cute and are well on your way to building a friendship that stands the test of time. Who knows, you may be BFF!

Dear Fella Bloggers....I may not be able to be as faithful in my stopping by in the next few weeks.  We are nearing the completion of our new house and the details are so time consuming.  But, know that I will be back to visiting as soon as I can and in the meantime I'll be by as time permits.

Happy Weekend!

  1. Happy wedding anniversary. I hope its a great one.
I know what you mean about Walmart. Sometimes i just want to go off. A few walmarts don't have the self check out that hubby and I like to fo to so we won't have to deal with poor customer services. So that's one reason we don't shop there that much. We usually go to Krogers instead.
Hope you have a great day. :)

  3. Hear! Hear! I could have written just about word-for-word some of the letters you have here (except I don't get my glasses at Walmart). Thanks for sticking up for the Duggar family.
