Friday Fragments

Half-Past Kissin' Time

Today felt like a fragment sort of post day.  I didn't have enough to make a full post but had a few fragments that I thought might be of interest.  Hope you enjoy these, mostly, wintery fragments as I join up with Mrs. 4444 over at Half-Past Kissin' Time.

Our week has been filled with all things wintery, especially the weather.  We've had cold, cold, sleet and then quite a bit of snow, at least for us, quite a bit.  Hubby and I got out and went riding the afternoon of the snow and rode by the first house (picture on left) we built (and only one until the current one) and I thought it might be fun to do a collage of our homes over the past 41 years.  Our babies were born in the first house and then when they were 2 and 5 we moved to our current home.  And, we shall be moving into house #3 sometime in the next 3 months.  I thought our current house made a really pretty picture with the snow.  And, sitting here looking at it sure does evoke a lot of sweet memories over the past 33 years.  But, I'm so looking forward to a lot of memory making times in our new house.
This was the look going out of our current sub-division this past Wed.
~~~~~
These two cuties had more fun in the snow.  I just hate that there is just enough distance between them that they couldn't get out in it together.  They both played their hearts out  and aren't their hats the cutest? And, of course, they have little to no school this week but I think they are both back on regular schedule today and I imagine their Momma's are glad of that. ~smile~
~~~~~
Our church had a Valentine Banquet a couple of weekends ago and we had entertainment provided by various members.  The "hit" of the night was when our dear friends came out as none other than Sonny and Cher.  They were absolutely fabulous as they took us down memory lane singing, "I've Got You Babe."  I'm really thinking they could probably "go on the road" but they'll probably keep their day jobs instead. ~chuckle~  It was a fun, fun night for sure!

And, for now I'm remembering this........

A Chilly Hodgepodge for sure!

Oh, it feels to good to be back with the Hodgepodge today.  I've missed the past two weeks because of busyness and you know, sometimes that just happens and it's really quite alright.  But, I was really glad to have the HP this week to fill a little of my time while being confined to the house due to this crazy winter weather we are having here in NE Louisiana.  Certainly, we are NOT use to it and it pretty much stops us in our steps.

1. Did you watch The Oscars? How many of the Best Picture nominees have you seen? (American Sniper, Birdman, Boyhood, Selma, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, and Whiplash)

Do you think actors should use their acceptance speeches as an opportunity to promote their political and/or social agenda? Does that sort of speech make you more or less inclined to change the channel?

Well, guess this is pitiful but I have never, ever watched The Oscars.  They are just not anything I am interested in and that being said, I have not seen any of the above mentioned movies either.  In fact, I'm trying to remember the last movie that Hubby and I saw.  Need I say that we are not much on going to the movies either, we always think of something else we would rather do.  But, on occasion, we will go. ~smile~
I did hear/see that Lady GaGa did an outstanding job with her medley of songs from the Sound of Music during the Oscars.  I went to YouTube yesterday and watched it and I was more than impressed and could not even believe that it was Lady GaGa that I was seeing or hearing.  Why on earth would she want to promote herself any other way than the way she was presented at The Oscars?  I mean, I don't get it, because the few times I've ever seen her before she was just plum trashy looking and she is really quite an attractive lady. ~not for me to understand~

2. Speaking of the movies... are you comfortable going to a movie alone? How about dinner in a restaurant (not fast food, but an actual restaurant)? The second half of this question was posed by Carrie who blogs over at It's Not Easy Being Queen. Thanks Carrie!

I have never done either but I think I would be just fine going to a movie by myself or eating by myself.  I often see folks eating by themselves in restaurants and I must admit, sometimes I do feel sorry for them.  But, sometimes they seem very content with their book, newspaper or Ipad keeping them company as they eat.  But, guess I wouldn't really know unless I tried it and I'm not likely going to anytime soon. ~smile~

3. What's the last home repair or home improvement project you had to pay someone to complete? In hindsight was this a project you could have done yourself?

About two months ago my washing machine quit draining.  It is older and likely on it's last leg but Hubby and I certainly didn't want to buy a new one for this house this close to when we will be moving.  And, we already have all new appliances bought and just waiting to be delivered to the new house.  So, we called a repair man and he was able to fix it for about $75 and he feels sure it will get us through the time we need.  Hubby is definitely a handy man and can fix all sorts of things, but he leaves the issues with the appliances to the repair man.

4. Have you ever had Indian food? Like it or no? If you're a fan, what's your favorite dish? Have you ever prepared this yourself at home? Is there an Indian restaurant in your current hometown?

Well, between this and the Oscars, it is going to appear that I really do not have much of a life.  But, I have never had Indian food that I know of and if there is an Indian restaurant in our area I do not know about it.  As I scanned the internet looking at Indian food it did not look as though I am missing much. ~just sayin'~

5. A song that reminds you of your parents?

I immediately thought of the Tennessee Waltz.  My Daddy loves that song and I can remember him singing it to my Momma many times when I was growing up and I thought it was so sweet.  And, it didn't hurt that he had a very pleasant voice.

6. The 26th of February is National Tell A Fairy Tale Day. What's your favorite, or one of your favorite, fairy tales? Do you have any childhood memories associated with a particular fairy tale?

One of my favorites, if not my favorite, is Cinderella.  I always loved that the ugly step sisters  actions backfired on them.  A real lesson to be learned from this fairy tale for sure

7. What's a problem you solved yesterday?

Not sure this qualifies as a problem but I have been pretty housebound the past 2-3 days and that is a problem for me.  So, I decided to do some baking to stay busy.  I made a Chocolate Pound Cake, Banana Nut Bread and Ginger Crinkle Cookies.  The entire cake, 1 loaf of the bread and 6 dozen of the cookies all went into the freezer.  And, I have all the ingredients to make a big pot of chili and Oatmeal Cookies today.  My freezer is going to be full to overflowing and that is a good problem to have.  So, yes, I solved the problem of being bored. ~silly me~ And, funny thing is that I truly do enjoy being at home and would say that I am rarely bored.  I think it's just the fact that the weather isn't fit for getting out and that bothers me.  I want to be able to get out if I want to. ~I want my cake and eat it too~

8. Insert your own random thought here.

This is the Princess doing her Elsa pose yesterday.  She was so glad to get to go out.  She and her Daddy rode their golf cart around and enjoyed the wintery weather.  The schools have been out, due to the weather, all week.  I'm sure all the Moms are probably hoping that they go back tomorrow.

HAPPY  MID-WEEK!!!

HELLO Monday..........

It's a nasty, nasty Monday here in N.E. Louisiana and Spring cannot get here quick enough.  But, this week looks like more very wintery weather. We did not get what "they" predicted overnight.  The schools and universities made an early call last evening to close today and it appears to me  that they all could have gone on as regularly scheduled.  But, then what do I know. ~smile~   Our Daffodils are peeking out to serve as a reminder that Spring will eventually come.  But, for now I'll share some "Hello's" with you and try to forget that Spring is no where in the picture today.  Ugh!
 HELLO new house progress......lots of work took place last week.  The carpenters worked on building the shutters for the outside.  I think there will be about 18 of them.  That makes for a whole of measuring, sawing and nailing.  Of course, paint will make a HUGE difference in the way they look.
The crew also put up the column in the dining room and foyer.  I was plum excited over it.  I think the cap is just beautiful and the columns across the front porch will look just like this, only larger.
 More cabinets were installed and once installed then they come back and hang doors and put in the drawers.  There is still the hood over the stove, the pantry, a corner cabinet, cabinets in the guest suite and our master closets to be done.  It just never ends but slowly but surely it is getting done.  And, again, once the stain and paint start to go on, it will make a big difference.

I did finalize the selection for the Plantation Shutters and the Roman Shades.  The shutters will go across the front windows and the shades will go across the back windows.  We have 25 windows and it was no easy feat getting just the right coverings figured out.  We wanted something across the back that could be completely out of the way to expose all the back area and the pond.  I think we have achieved that with the Roman Shades and they will be out of a fabric almost the exact color as the window trim.  Across the front we wanted a very neat, uniform and long lasting look.  That's why we chose the Plantation Shutters.  Hubby can't help but wonder why you choose these beautiful windows and then cover them up.  It's sort of like the wood floors..........he wonders why I want to cover them with area rugs.  Hummm.....somethings just can't be explained.  ~belly laugh~

HELLO precious sisters.... they say there's nothing like sisters.  I wouldn't know, I had two brothers and I'm pretty crazy about them, but I'm quite sure that there is something very special about sisters.  And, I do believe that these two will share a special bond as the years go by.  When their Mom sent me this picture it made my heart smile really BIG!

And, I think I'll be spending the biggest majority of this week saying...........

Lea's Daybook, Friday, February 20th

It's time to link up with Peggy over at The Simple Woman and do a Daybook.  It's sharing my day with you in a whole lot of detail.  Hope you enjoy!
FOR TODAY

Outside my window...the sun is struggling to shine and looks like we're end for clouds and rain today.  Ugh! is what I say to that! I'm so ready for spring!

I am thinking...that the last 1/3 of building a house takes the longest.  There's just so much when it comes to finishing the inside.

I am thankful...that our church has called "one of God's finest" as our Interim Pastor.  We were like sheep without a Shepherd and I have no doubt that he is going to be just what we need during the time of transition.

In the kitchen...I've had a busy week in the kitchen.  I made the best pot of gumbo on Monday and then on Wed. I made a dish called "Crockpot Crack Chicken."  It has plain cream cheese, chipolte cream cheese, dry Ranch dressing and bacon pieces.  These ingredients are mixed together and spread over 2 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cooked.  I doubled the recipe so we had one meal and I froze 3 other containers.  It was so, so tasty and good!

I am creating...a week by week Shutterfly photo book of our new house construction.  I started with the day we signed the papers on the lot, two years ago.  I think it is going to be such fun to have this in the years ahead.

I am wondering...how all my decorators and my ideas are going to come together in our new house.  This is the fun, fun part to me and I can hardly wait to see it all come together.

I am reading...the Psalms, again.  What an amazing book!  I've read it time and time again and each time different scriptures "speak to me."  Gotta love the Word!!!

I am hoping...all 3 of my Grans will one day come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior and become all that the Lord would have them to be.  I pray daily for them and for their parents and for God's hedge to be around them for both their physical and spiritual protection.

I am looking forward to...to going to our daughter's next weekend and seeing Clancy play in his last Upward basketball game.  This is his first time to ever play basketball and he has done so well and really enjoys it.  Guess he can be a little cowboy basketball player.~too cute~

I am learning...that instead of fretting, to lay it at the feet of Jesus.  No matter how big or how small, HE cares about every aspect of our life.  I should know this by now but somehow I still have to be reminded. ~slow learner~

Around the house...the boxes are piled up higher and higher.  I have made a lot of headway and probably have about 60-70% of the packing and going through process done. Of course, there are many things that will not be able to be packed until just before we move.  In the next two months I will finish going through what's left and am just so thankful that I have had this much time.  I cannot imagine doing what I have done in 1-2 months. It might have caused me to have a nervous breakdown. ~big chuckle~
I am pondering...the miracle of our little Andi Kate and the miracle of birth.  Oh, my goodness, she melts my heart!  FYI - all is going well.  She still loves sleeping during the day. ~not good for Daddy and Mommy's nights~  But, she is only 9 days old.

A favorite quote for today...I love this by Confucius
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
 ~so true~

One of my favorite things...is clean sheets.  If it wasn't so time consuming I'd change our sheets everyday.

A few plans for the rest of the week...today includes some errands, and picking up the Princess from school.  Tomorrow will include some more packing and new house "stuff."

A picture worth sharing....

Is that not the most pitiful looking little fella?  Bless his sweet heart, he got sick with an awful stomach virus last Friday evening and it did a number on him.  And, he had pink eye in both eyes.  On Monday he told his Momma that it was the worse day of his life.  It just broke this CiCi's heart.  He missed 3 days of school but I'm pleased to report that he is back to his sweet smiling self and feeling almost 100% now.

HELLO Monday

 Well, I was MIA for the most part last week but it was for a very good reason. ~more on that in a minute~  It's another new week and looks like it is going to bring some very wintery weather here to NE Louisiana.  I can't say that any of us are excited about it, we are more than ready for Spring, but guess we'll just have to deal with it.  But, for now, it's time for some HELLO's this Monday morning.

HELLO Andi Kate....yes, she is here and all is well.  She entered the world last Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 4:07PM.  She weighed in at 7 lb. 9 oz. and was 20 inches long.
This picture was taken about 24 hours later and Windy certainly doesn't look like she has just given birth.  My goodness, she looks like there was nothing to it.~what a sweet family of four~

Poppa and I had Hanna Beth from last Tuesday evening until Saturday mid-morning.  We were busy, busy for sure.  The mornings were very busy as we had to leave at 7:00AM to get her to school on time.  That meant my getting up at 5:00AM to get myself ready and then getting her up at 6:00.  I am an early riser and am always up at 5:30 but just those 30 minutes seemed like a whole lot earlier. ~big smile~  Then she gets out at 2:45PM and by the time we would get home it was time to think about dinner and then bath time and bedtime.  She goes to bed at 7:30 on school nights and I promise you that she is sound asleep by 7:40.  It was amazing!  She is use to a very structured life and of course, that is my "love language" so we made it just fine. And, we are so glad that we are close enough to come to their aid at a time such as this.

Brandon, Windy and little Andi Kate didn't get home until around 6:30PM on Friday.  They are still getting things figured out and haven't really had time to get on any kind of schedule but they seem to be making the best of it right now.  And, if I know them, they WILL have her on a schedule as soon as it is possible. ~or she will have them on a schedule~ chuckle~  But, just take my word, she is so adorable and has the rosiest cheeks that make you want to pinch them.  She is a true gift from God!

HELLO Oatmeal Bake....I had seen the recipe for Oatmeal Bake on another blog I read. I love oatmeal and thought it looked really good and I gave it a try this past week and I was not disappointed.  And, I shared it with Hubby's office staff and they gave it a thumbs up as well.  So, if you are interested, click on my recipe tab above and help yourself. We all agreed that it could very well be a dessert as well as a breakfast food.

HELLO new house progress.....it is truly looking like a house on the outside.  Cleaning up has started on the outside and pretty soon they will begin dirt work on the yard.  There is still plenty of outside stuff to do, shutters, more stucco work, columns and driveway.  But, it is looking good.
Two different angles of kitchen

The kitchen cabinets were installed this past week and that made a HUGE difference on the inside of the house.  There are still drawers, doors and vent hood to be installed and then the face of the big island put on and the granite installed on counter tops and island.  There are still cabinets to be installed in the laundry room, the pantry, a corner cabinet/curio in one of the bedrooms and the Master closets.  So, little by little it is coming together.  We are so glad that we are in no hurry because it would make for a very frustrating process.  That is exactly why we have yet to put our current house up for sale.  We have time on our side and we like it that way.

A happy week to you!

HELLO Monday...........

Hello new week, we have a fresh start to a new week.  I love Monday's!  And, here's my Hello's for the day............

HELLO Daddy reading to the Princess' class.....each child in Hanna Beth's Pre-K class has a couple of opportunities in the year to have a parent, grandparents or someone special come and read to their class.  I did it back in October and this past week her Daddy had the privilege.  They are such a sweet and attentive group of little ones and I just love the way Hanna Beth is leaning over on her Daddy's arm. ~awe~

HELLO cold Tater with his snow boots on.......this is my "dog nephew." (my brother and SIL's dog)  Tater is a Goldendoodle and he has no idea he is a dog.  He is my favorite of all dogs except that he is rather large.  But, he is so stinkin' sweet and so obedient.  Don't you love his snow boots!  They live in Iowa and shortly after they moved there 7 years ago they decided that Tater needed boots if he was going to play outside in the snow.  He actually holds his foot up for them to put the boots on him.  I had no idea they made boots for dogs.  I'm thinking from the looks of this picture, made last Sunday, that he needs a face warmer as well. ~smile~

HELLO tilting foot rest....if you have a desktop computer then you need one of these.  It is so dandy for keeping your feet comfortable and it tilts, which makes it all the more comfortable.  I saw this while roaming through Sam's the other week and thought I'd give it a try.  I will give it 5 *****'s for sure!  I suppose it would also work well for folks that sit at a desk all day long.

HELLO 100 days of school....I'm not sure what all the hype is about 100 days of school, but I've seen it all over the internet and social media.  Bridget sent me this picture of Clancy last week sporting his 100 days of school tee shirt.  His kindergartner teacher had them make the shirts in class.  They glued 100 pom poms all over a white tee shirt as their celebration. Clancy was quite proud of his and rightfully so.

HELLO house progress....nothing new to show you except the carpenters continuing to work and work.  They finished up most of the trim work, and configured guest room closets this past week.  The brick layer continues with his work.  He's been laying brick for almost 3 months.  Of course, he's dealt with some pretty bad weather during that time.  Thankfully the weather didn't halt any of the other work and we've had heat in the house for a couple of months.
And, I've been doing a lot of looking at fabric samples and rugs which is a lot of fun but it ultimately requires a decision.  I think the above samples are what our great room will be done in. We'll have very neutral Roman Shades over the windows. I spent a lot of time with our decorator last week narrowing down choices.  She is a life saver for sure!

Wishing you a happy VALENTINE'S week and I'm betting that our little Andi Kate will have arrived by next Monday's HELLO's. ~big smile~

Friday Letters

It's been a few weeks since I did some letter writing and today I had a few I wanted to write.
Hope you will enjoy!

Dear Water....I am enjoying you more and more each day.  I started on Jan. 1 making a conscious effort to drink lots of you everyday and I've done just that.  It has gotten easier with each passing day.  BUT, I pretty much have to make sure I'm within sight of a potty all the time. ~a real bummer~
Dear Valentine's Day....you are one of my favorite days of the year.  I love hearts and all things associated with them.  And, it's a fun day to share your love, do something special, make some cut out heart cookies and just enjoy the day.  And, ours could be really special this year if our little Andi Kate should decide to be born on the 14th.
Dear Ladies Who Wear Leggings...#1 - always look in the mirror and please make sure your bum is adequately covered, not partially, but fully. #2 - if you need to look professional, leggings are not considered professional! I could go on but, I'll leave at that...... ~aren't you glad~
Dear Hair....why can't you stay colored and trimmed.  I get so tired of keeping you in "tip top" shape but then neither do I want to look unkempt and shaggy.  So, guess I'll keep maintaining you like I have forever.  Thankfully, I love my stylist and enjoy her company.
Dear Jane.com....I just had to stop receiving your daily emails on your "deals."  They were just too tempting and it's funny how "out of sight, out of mind" has worked.
Dear Folks....I have had several people ask me if mine and Hubby's marriage is surviving the building of our house.  I am pleased to say that we haven't even come close to not surviving.  I mean, my goodness, we've been married almost 44 years!  We haven't agreed on every detail but it hasn't been a big deal when we haven't.  For the most part we've pretty much been on the same page with things.  It has been an enjoyable process.  Yes, there are days that we have grown weary with all the decisions but that's just part of it.
Dear Daddy....I continue to be absolutely amazed at how well you have been doing the past several months.  I am beyond thankful for the way the Lord has restored you and you seem to enjoy your days and rarely complain.  I pray the rest of your days on this earth will be this way.
Dear HGTV....Fixer Upper has to be one of your best shows! Chip and Joanna are the cutest and so, so talented in their ability to have a vision for what most of us would call "a lost cause."  Hubby and I enjoy watching the show and marvel at the completed project.
Dear Facebook....you've got it all.  We can connect with all our friends and acquaintances, we can get all kinds of information, we can buy and sell and we can exchange recipes left and right.  You are a "one stop" does it all for sure! You rate right up there with Google. ~chuckle~

Dear Wal-Mart....it is so funny how I can enter your store as happy as a lark and after I have HAD to check out through the self check out, I am needing a serious attitude adjustment. It does not matter how hard I may try to do everything correctly, that stupid machine is never happy with what I do and is constantly trying to tell me what to do. If you would just hire real live checkers I would be sooo happy!  I'm thinking the world has gone "over the top" with automation.

That's it until my next letter writing post.

A Pinkish Hodgepodge

It's Wednesday again folks!  The first Wednesday of February.......where did January go?  While we figure that out I'll get started on Joyce's questions for the week.

1. Do you wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your emotions tucked in tight?
Probably somewhere in between. ~smile~  In the past 6 years I have faced the sudden loss of my Mother and the devastating illness of my Dad.  Those both have caused me so much grief and at times it was so very hard to keep my emotions tucked in tight.  So, I guess my answer would be that it depends on what emotion I am dealing with.  If I am dealing with emotions that are really no one's business then I can definitely keep them tucked in tight. And, if my emotions are running high with excitement, then, the whole world knows. ~grin~   Not sure any of what I just wrote makes sense. ~big laugh~

2. How did you meet your closest friend?
Lynette and I will be celebrating 50 years of friendship this June.  We now live about 1000 miles apart and have pretty much, except for a few years, always lived many miles apart.  But, we met in the 8th grade after I had just moved to town.  I can't remember exactly how our friendship began but I guess she welcomed me to her girlfriend group and we  became BFF's.  Of course, Jr. High can be such a hard time and especially if you are the "new kid on the block" but Lynette made me feel so welcome and I never missed a beat.  When we get to be together we always pick right up where we left off the last time we saw each other.  Thankfully I have, as does she, some very dear friends to share our day to day lives.

3.  Pink lemonade, grilled salmon, cotton candy, pink grapefruit, a strawberry milkshake, or raspberry sorbet...of the pink foods listed, which one is your favorite? Least favorite? Which one have you most recently consumed?
Hummm...I've never had it but I'm pretty sure raspberry sorbet would be my favorite as none of the others would be.  I do not care for pink grapefruit and about a month again I had grilled salmon and it was a tad bit strong, so I didn't enjoy it all that much.

4. When were you last 'tickled pink' over something? Explain.
The last time would be when we had our family Christmas.  I am always "tickled pink" when the big kids and little kids are thrilled with our gifts to them and they were pretty thrilled this past Christmas.  I'm about to be really "tickled pink" when our little Andi Kate makes her arrival. ~big smile~

5. Are you a fan of television talk shows? Daytime, nighttime, or both? What's your favorite?
I am not a fan of television talk shows, day or night.  I will occasionally turn on Kathy Lee and Hoda if I am working in the kitchen while they are on.  That's about 3X a year and I sort of enjoy them but I really like Jenna Bush with Hoda the best. ~in case you were interested~

6. When was the last time you wanted to ask a question, but felt too foolish to do so?
I'm sure that has happened to me but right now I cannot remember the last time.

7. My favorite frozen Greek Yogurt right now is Cherry Chocolate Swirl.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
We are getting down to a lot of details on the new house.  It seems every day presents decisions, decisions and more decisions.  Thankfully, none have been too overwhelming and we are knocking them out one by one.  We are currently in the process of choosing door knobs and cabinet knobs.  Do you know the choices out there?  I mean, there are more choices than the law allows.  On many of the choices we have had to make, our decorator has narrowed the choices down to two or three and that is so helpful.  It's such fun to watch it all start coming together.  We are thinking we "might" be close to moving by May 1st. ~time will tell~

HELLO Monday........

 It's Monday and time for some HELLO's, lots of excitement around our house these days as the house construction continues and the arrival of Andi Kate is days away. Whee...........

HELLO Cutest Baby Bump........yes, while Windy definitely doesn't look like she is very near delivery, she is.  No one looks at her and thinks she is 2 weeks from her due date.  She has made a really pretty pregnant gal and while she may not look uncomfortable, she gets pretty weary by day's end and often has trouble breathing.  She is still working and unless something changes she will work until the day Andi Kate makes her entrance.
~~~~~~
 HELLO all things Mardi Gras.........as you probably know, Mardi Gras is a huge deal here in Louisiana.  And, as I have stated many times, I have never been to Mardi Gras and will never go.  I do not like all that generally goes along with the celebration.  But, I do LOVE the color and festive spirit.  We had company this past weekend so I took that as an opportunity to get us a King Cake.  They come in many flavors but there's only one in my book, the cream cheese and cinnamon.  And, Hanna Beth had fun with my Mardi Gras mask.  I believe the actual day for the big Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans is Fat Tuesday, Feb. 17th. I wouldn't want to even be close to New Orleans at the time.
~~~~~~

 HELLO House Progress....things continue right along with the house construction.  This past week they put the vinyl trim up around the house and it really added some "spark" to the overall look.
And, the cabinet work continues and will for a while longer.  This past week they hung doors on the cabinets already installed and put the drawers in too.  It looked like way more doors and drawers than there were cabinets so far, but it wasn't.  I don't think I'm going to be lacking for cabinet space.
As the doors go on and drawers go in, the cabinets really begin to take shape.
The front steps were almost finished the week and the back steps off the patio were started.
 And, some of the real fun has begun.  This is one of the selected fabrics for one of our guest rooms and I found this rug to go with it this past week and that was such fun.  I cannot begin to know how I would have done all this without my wonderful decorator.  I will just say that she makes pulling things all together so easy.

Wishing you a wonderful new week!
