10 on the 10th

I could not let Erin's link up pass me by today.  It's all about things in our cars.

I think this will be such an interesting link up as I've never even thought about what other folks have in their cars.  But, now I can hardly wait to read some of the others posts just to see what they have in their cars.  I had no trouble finding 10 items in my car at all, in fact, I have several more than the ones listed. ~laugh~  So, here I go.............

1. Whisk broom - I am pretty fanatical about cleanliness  and I use this little fella all the time to give a quick sweep to the mat under my feet.  I vacuum fairly regularly but the broom does  a good job for a quick clean up.

2. Trash container - I've kept a trash container (it's a Rubbermaid container without the lid)  in my vehicle for many, many years and if you ride in my vehicle, I do expect for you to use it. ~wink~ In the trash basket you will see my roll of paper towels that often come in handy and I have two hand towels hanging on it as well.  I use them when I grab a bite to eat on the go and spread it across my lap.  I know, I know, but hey, it works for me.

3 - Knit blanket - This is a rather new item in my vehicle.  I found this soft knit blanket and it was suggested for use in vehicles.  I have often needed/wanted one and decided to get it.  I keep it in the pocket on the back of the seat.

4 - Sunglasses -  I confess, I do have quite the collection of sunglasses but I do use all of them.  I keep them in their cases (their prescription) in the console and grab whichever pair suits my fancy for the day.  If the sun is shining, I have on sunglasses.

5 - Wet Ones - What on earth did we ever do before these were available?  I keep them in our vehicles and in my purse.  I use them all the time, especially after pumping gas or after leaving Wal-Mart where I've been pushing that nasty cart and on and on.  I'm never without them.

6. Tic-tacs - these are always in the console.  I mean, who doesn't want to have fresh breath!

7. OTC Meds - And, you never know when you might have an ache or a pain and need a little over the counter medicine.  These are kept in my console for easy access should the need arise.

8. Tissues - And, who doesn't need a tissue close at hand.  I mean, my nose can start dripping at the most inopportune times, so these are always nearby.  They are also kept in the console and I have another pack in my purse.

9. Snacks - These are my "go to snacks."  They will quench my hunger and they are so good  and low calorie.  It's a win win all the way around.  I keep a stash of these in the console as well.  Do you get the feeling that the console of my car is full of all kinds of good treasures? ~smile~

10. Phone holder - And, last but not least is this trusty phone holder that is suctioned to the extreme far left of the windshield.  It's in the perfect spot for the driver.  It holds the phone secure, it's easy to see and touch and the holder is flexible so that it can be moved to suit your needs.

So, there you have it, 10 items found in my car and these are the ones I consider the MOST important.   What's in your car?

    1. Five weeks ago my boyfriend broke up with me. It all started when i went to summer camp i was trying to contact him but it was not going through. So when I came back from camp I saw him with a young lady kissing in his bed room, I was frustrated and it gave me a sleepless night. I thought he will come back to apologies but he didn't come for almost three week i was really hurt but i thank Dr.Azuka for all he did i met Dr.Azuka during my search at the internet i decided to contact him on his email dr.azukasolutionhome@gmail.com he brought my boyfriend back to me just within 48 hours i am really happy. What’s app contact : +44 7520 636249‬

  2. I can’t think of a thing you might have missed except CD’s. I need to restock our car with some of these things before our next trip. Fun post today.

  4. no umbrella? no rain poncho? no paper and pen? no bank withdrawal slips? no lipsticks? no coins or cash? As you can tell, my car is not quite as neat and today as yours!!!

  5. Your phone holder looks much more substantial than mine. Mine use to hold my old phone but now my new phone is just too heavy, oddly enough! I love that broom, I love a tidy car as well but it's tricky with 3 pint size passengers!!!

  6. Oh I just love all the thing you have in your car. Gave me some wonderful ideas Lea. I have never thought about a garbage can! Here's my 10 things:
    1: Lipstick (LOL)
2: Garbage bags (I love your idea of garbage can)
    3: Altoid mints
    4: Phone holder
5: Pretty tote bag that carries my Bible, pen and paper
    6: Fabreeze
7: Wipes for me and the grands. (LOL)
8: Small think blanket just in case I go somewhere and it's chilly and I need it. This has served me well on occasion when at an outside game for one of the grands.
    9: Sunshades
10: Umbrella (which I used to be the world's worst to take it out and forget to put it back in) I finally bought extra's so now the one I really like stays in my car at all times.
I have enjoyed this this evening. It has rained all day today and a whole 58 degrees! Kinda had my mood in a twist but so glad this popped up on my email. I hope you have a good rest of the week sweet lady.
    Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  7. This was very interesting. Speaking as one who has lived in COLD country (South Dakota and Colorado), I'm just glad I no longer need to carry a can of Sterno in my car, along with kitty litter and/or an old Sears & Roebuck catalog to help give me traction when stranded on ice, as well as a host of other frigid weather survival items.

  8. I also carry many of these things. I just a few moments ago left the car wash where I had it cleaned inside and out. Here is what I can remember without actually looking...I have a deep console compartment so a lot of it is stashed in there: a roll of paper towels, a package of wet wipes (for cars), a pair or two of knit gloves, a short handled Swiffer duster, my registration/insurance card, plastic container with micro-fiber cloth, a few Lifesaver mints, my phone charger, a brand new Yankee Candle smell-good thingy, a fleece blanket, a contour pillow, and until I get rid of it there's a bag of books for donation. I may have missed something! My car has the blue tooth connected to the GPS so when it rings, all I have to do is push a little button on the steering wheel and it talks to me. No lipstick in my car though. :) Fun post, Lea!

  11. Lea, this was so fascinating to me! I love finding out what other people carry around for travel or in their handbags and sometimes I get such great ideas! I am also pretty fussy about keeping my car clean and have wipes and paper towels. No wisk broom though! I'm also never without sunglasses and lip balm of some sort. My hubby is fanatical about having jumper cables and a pump, and in the winter a snow shovel in the trunk. Linda

  12. Loved this list, made me think about what's in mine and if there was anything 'odd.' I happen to have no less than 3 umbrellas - cuz you never know what color you're feeling under all that rain on any given day. ha.
