Happy Birthday and Branson Bound

This coming Wednesday my sweet Daddy will celebrate his 82nd birthday.  What a year his 81st year has been and I'm sure he is thinking a lot about it.  He has still not shown any improvement in his legs and feet and we have all resigned ourselves to the probability that he never will.  His pain often varies from day to day and the Drs. continue to have to adjust the pain meds often to keep his pain under control.  I think his outlook is as good as anyone could expect it to be given his situation.  For those of you that are reading this and have known Daddy for many years, I would love for you to send him a card for his birthday.  He would enjoy hearing from you.  Send it to him at : 1905 Cooper Lake Road, Bastrop, La. 71220

Hubby and I will be heading to Branson, Missouri tomorrow morning.  We have had this trip planned for sometime and are looking forward to some time away.  We are meeting Hubby's sister and her husband there for a few days.  In route we are going to stop by some dear friends and spend some time with them tomorrow afternoon and Monday morning.  It should be a beautiful drive and a time of relaxation and refreshment.

I'll have lots to tell when we return and lots of pictures to share.  Blessings to you all!

  1. Happy Birthday to your Daddy! I hope he starts feeling better soon.

I've heard Branson is a wonderful place; my parents went on a trip there a couple of years ago and loved it. Have fun!

  2. Happy birthday to your Dad.

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time in Branson. We're just a little more than 4 hours from Branson, yet we've never been. We talk about going ... but when it comes time to plan a road trip, the beach always seems to win out (even if it's a longer drive). ;-)
