Another Monday means another new week. We have 15 weeks from today until Christmas. Wow, this year has literally flown by and it really is true that the older we get the quicker time goes by, or maybe time just flies regardless. Meanwhile, I have a few tidbits to share with you today.
We recently went to Atlanta to visit family and while there, my SIL and I went to the Yellow Daisy Festival in Stone Mountain. There is pretty much any and everything there.
It seemed that every other booth was jewelry. I'm not sure I've ever been to a show with more jewelry vendors. And, there were some lovely pieces for sure, but enough is enough. It was an absolutely gorgeous day to be outside and very cool. The only negative was the terrain is very uneven and a bit tiresome to walk on for very long and there were so many folks there. And, there were strollers and wheelchairs and the pathways were very tight. But, we trudged through and found a few items we couldn't leave without.
Pictured above it an item I bought. I'm not really sure what it is called but it is made of ceramic and inserted in the open hole is a "florist frog." It is great to place flowers in for a very neat look.
Here it is with some sunflowers in it. I cut the stems off very short and it looked so cute. And, you don't have to have any real flower arranging ability and that is a very good thing.
One evening we went to this neat place to eat. It was called The Horseradish Grill and I'm not sure why but it was cute and the food was good. The grounds surrounding it are lovely as well. There are always so many fun things to see and do and great places to eat when we go see Steve and Susan.

And, we topped off this past weekend by watching the LSU/Miss State game. Tommy and I were all decked out and cute in our LSU attire but that did not matter, LSU just did not show up for the game. Mississippi State played awesome and made their fans very happy. Well, it's just a game and the sun came right on up the next morning and we never missed a beat and there's always next week. ~smile~
Have a wonderful 37th week of 2017!!!
Such a good picture of the two of you! :)
ReplyDeleteLea,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you both had a lovely time. We went to Stone Mountain a few years ago for the Country Living Fair. We took the cable car up to the top of the mountain and the autumnal views were spectacular.
Have a good week,
Kiki
Awe, so glad you enjoyed Stone Mountains dear Lea. We went years ago. Matter of fact we've been several times. I love the picture of you and your man. You are just beautiful my friend. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun trip to Atlanta!
ReplyDeleteYou have a good attitude about your team's football loss. (wish more people would handle loss that way)
Lea, You are such a beautiful lady! Love that frog thingy...I need a good frog to help with flower arranging. Atlanta is such a fun place to visit. My brother lives south of ATL in Sharpsburg/Peachtree City area. Love it there. Happy Tuesday!!! XO
