Friday's Letters

Photobucket

It's time for Friday's Letters hosted by Ashley.  I do have some letters to write, so let me get started. ~smile~

Dear Chris (of the famed Extreme Weight Loss), Should I ever have a weight issue, I want you to be my weight loss coach.  I can hardly believe what you are able to do with these extremely obese folks on this show.  I am inspired each week when I watch it.  I've never had to lose more than about 5 pounds, so losing 150+ pounds is just unbelievable!  You are amazing!

Dear Post A Notes and Ziplocs , what on earth did we ever do without either of you.  I mean I have every size, shape and description of each of you.  You are as handy as can be! And, why didn't I think of creating you and then I would have been the one laughing all the way to the bank. ~smile~

Dear Creator of Pinterest, you are an absolute genius.  I have found more great ideas, more super recipes, more great quotes and you name it by browsing your creation.  It's plum addicting!

Dear Wal-Mart, I do not like to use your self-checkout when I have a cart full of groceries. But, you give me no other choice because you do not have any real live checkers available.  The management tells me it's "cost cutting measures."  Oh, my goodness, you have got to be kidding me!

Dear Fall, the past few days of lower temps have me thinking about you and longing for you.  I'm ready for leaves, pumpkins and apple cider.  Can you hurry up and grace us with your presence even though it is still August.  Thank you very much!

Dearest Bridget, I think of you daily my dear and pray for God's peace and presence to continually fill your heart and mind.  You have been through such a difficult time and you have been such a testimony through it all.  I know that the Lord has a purpose in all things, but it sure is difficult to understand at times.  I love you my dear daughter!

  1. Wow you don't have any checkers at the register. Its all self checkout. I wouldn't like that. It takes me twice as long and there is always something that doesn't scan and I have to call for help.

  2. I like the self checkout lanes when I'm shopping ... I can bag my groceries in a much more organized manner to make unbagging at home simpler/easier.

You've never had to lose more than 5 lbs. Oh my ... I've had to lose the same 30-35 lbs. more times than I can count ... it took me until 50 to figure out how to actually KEEP the weight off.

I'm so ready for fall, too!

  3. Tears came to my eyes with your letter to Bridget. I communicate with BLM (baby loss Mothers) each day and it is so very sad. ((HUGS))
I hear you on the Post It Notes and Ziplocks. Also Pinterest is amazing. I agree with your Walmart letter also. Have a wonderful weekend dear friend. Hope your dad is doing well.

  5. I love to watch Extreme Makeover and I love Chris Powell. He seems to be such a kind and caring person. And did you know he lives right here in my neck of the woods in Scottsdale, Arizona?

As far as Pinterest goes, I love it too. I have so many boards and use my pin button for anything that I want to bookmark and return to later. I have made so many recipes from Pinterest and so far I've not been disappointed.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

  6. Our WalMart hasn't gotten quite that bad but it is probably a matter of time since they keep adding more self-checkers. I love your Mother's heart and thank you for letting us be privy to your precious thoughts to your special daughter.

  7. Can I hate you just a little bit for the 5lb weight thing. I mean it's not like a real hate...just a little hate/jealous/hate thingy. Lol!

Walmart.....that place is just unreal! It's so flusterating!!

Sweet, sweet, daughter letter. Enough said.

Thank you for stopping by Spots and Wrinkles. I enjoyed your comment.

I completely agree with you on that whole self-checkout deal. Just irritates the life out of me. :)
    Happy Sunday tomorrow. - Marsha
