Lea's Favorites

It's another "favorites" post today...............enjoy!

Okay folks, if you are like me you get tired of all the cords involved in keeping cell phones, IPads and all things "techy" charged.  Well, here's the one of the greatest inventions I've seen in a while, a charging station.  We have ours sitting on Hubby's night stand and we just line our phones and Ipads up and wha-la, they are neatly charged.  You can put it anywhere you want to as it doesn't take up much space at all.  Note, the charging cords do not come with it, so be sure you order  a pack of those as well.  All of it can be ordered from Amazon. The charging station is $39.99 and a pack of 4 cords is $12.99.  For a "neat freak" like me it's the "cat's meow." ~chuckle~

I'm sure everyone reading this knows about these "to go cups" but I'm not sure you know that you can get them at The Dollar Tree for $1 (for a pack 5)  I love to keep these on hand as sometimes I like to take a cup of coffee with me when I head out.  A pack of 26  Dixie to go cups are $11.29, or .43 each.  That's twice the price of these, so it truly is a "favorite" deal of mine.

Okay, you all may think I have lost my mind on this one, but, if you don't have a heated mattress pad, you are missing out on one of life's greatest pleasures.  I mean, crawling in a warm bed at night, be it summer or winter, is the best ending to any day.  Yes, we use ours year around.  Now, we turn it off as soon as we get in it in warm weather but in the winter we just cut it down on low for the night.  Ours is dual control and that keeps everyone happy.  The one we have is a Sunbeam but they have every brand imaginable on Amazon.  Now, don't knock it until you've tried it. ~grin~

Post It has come out with more neat items in the paper gadget department.  I mean, what would we do without Post A Notes?  And, just a few months ago I found these tabs that I use for marking recipes in books, magazine articles and items in catalogs.  They are so neat and come in the neatest dispenser.  I keep them right beside my recliner and use them all the time.  If you have not seen these then check where the Post It items are in your local store.

And, last but not least, these two arrangements arrived at our house this week and they both had my name on them.  I was beyond surprised.  But, two very sweet and thoughtful friends sent these to me to just let me know they were thinking of me as I deal with my eye issues.  Talk about thoughtful!  I felt very special and loved for sure and they have added such a bright spot to my days.  Fresh flowers are always a favorite and always make a day brighter!

I'm off to see my Retina Specialist this morning for my one week post op check up.  Sure hoping he says things are going well.

  1. Wishing you so much luck and peace at the Dr. Those flowers are beautiful and I'm glad you got them. I need to get some of those cups. I always save old Starbucks cups to fill with the brew Mr. Nine makes in the morning but those would be great!! Have a sweet weekend, hoping it is as beautiful as your are!! xo

  8. Lea, This is such a great post! I think I'll get hubby a charging station for his birthday. We have a spot where we keep our phones, but with the traditional cords-which means the cords are all over the counter. I've seen the Post-it tabs but haven't gotten any yet(can't say why I haven't), but will definitely try them out. So glad your friends sent you those beautiful arrangements-you deserve them.
Praying your appointment was good news.
Hugs and Happy 4th of July.
