Whee! what a week we have had here. A week filled with family, food and fun. At times there was almost a roar inside the house. ~grin~ We made a lot of memories and the Lord granted safe travels for everyone and now it's on to Christmas.
Our Thanksgiving meal was very traditional, smoked turkey, dressing and gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, grape salad and rolls. Hubby is the best turkey carver around and I happily allow him into the kitchen to do the honors. Pecan pie and pound cake were the desserts enjoyed later that afternoon. We had our meal at 1:00PM.
Cameras were busy taking pictures to capture the moments we shared. Little Coleman has yet to know what those bright flashes are that he's always seeing. ~smile~
There were sweet moments such as Great Poppa playing tic tac toe with Clancy. ~thankfully there is an app on the IPad with a HUGE tic tac toe board on it and Daddy could see it!~
And, what could be sweeter than holding these cuties in your lap. I think his smile says it all.

When Clancy got to his Oklahoma grandparents house he and his Dad went hunting and snagged them a BIG one. Needless to say, Clancy was a pretty happy little boy!
Hubby found some time during the busyness to prepare the yard and plant winter grass. He's been trying to do it for the last few weeks but the timing of the rain did not cooperate. But, if the Lord's willing we should be seeing signs of grass in the next week or two. It looked so much better just all smoothed out. This is Phase 1 of about 8 phases. ~ugh~ Putting in a new yard is work!
Once I got the house cleaned and back in order from company it was time to pull out the Christmas decor. It was so, so easy to get it out and I didn't have but a few feet to carry it. It's just about finished and I'll share the results with you soon.
May this first week of December be filled with all things wonderful for you and yours!

Advent blessings to you and your lovely family!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to have your family with you for Thanksgiving. The yard is looking good. Everything in a house build has at least 8 steps : ) We won't have much grass as we're wooded and will have a lot of pine straw and big trees. A little bit of grass hubs can mow in a matter of minutes. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like you inaugurated that new house for Thanksgiving pretty perfectly. I know you are still reveling in the memories. I can't decide how much decorating I want to do this year but don't want to be complete Scruge. But it won't be much. Have a great week b
ReplyDeleteIt looks like y'all had a great Thanksgiving! My hubby is the turkey carver too and I'm also glad to hand that over to him! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteIf this week’s PGA Championship is anything like the other majors this season, it will be one of the most-watched PGA Championships in recent memory. Much of that can be attributed to the return of Tiger Woods.
ReplyDeleteWhether it’s Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth or another reason that has you tuning in for the event, there will be no shortage on places your can view it. As far as online streaming goes, there will be featured group coverage provided by the event and Turner and CBS, which owns the rights to broadcast the tournament. (Look for Woods to be in one of those featured groups. He has been most of the season.)
