Well, don't faint and fall out but this is my second post in two days. I mean, really!!! It's so good to join Joyce and the Hodgepodge today. I guess my only excuse is lack of desire and life getting in the way. But, I'm going to try to do better because I truly love blogging. For now, I'll get on with today's HP questions.
2. Something you've seen recently that was 'cuter than a June bug'?
Our Andi Kate (youngest granddaughter) just ended her second year of softball. She played in the 8-9 year old league but is only 7. She is quite the player and we had more fun watching her play and her CiCi laughed and cheered more than the law allows. And, this little red haired girl was definitely "cuter than a June bug" in her uniform with her braided red hair. BTW, she made the winning run for her team to win FIRST place in the league.
3. 'You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that's pretty much the same thing.' Agree or disagree? Last time you had a serving of happiness ice cream? Dish-cone-milkshake-sundae...which one do you choose?
Well, not exactly. I do like ice cream but I don't equate it to happiness but, on the rare occasion that I do eat it, I suppose it does make me happy. ~did that make any sense?~We have some of the best ice cream about 2 miles from our house at a little place called, "The Country Creamery." I took one of the Gran girls over there the other night and we got cups of ice cream for all of us. I've probably only been over there for ice cream a couple of times in the almost 7 years that we have lived here.
4. What is one way/area in which you're currently 'swimming against the tide'?
It appears I am definitely swimming against the tide politically. I'll just leave it right there.
5. Three things you're looking forward to this summer?
Bridget and the boys will be arriving tomorrow for a few days visit. So, that's the first thing on my list.
We have no big plans otherwise, but I have a really BIG birthday coming up the end of July and I haven't quite decided if I'm looking forward to it or not. ~big laugh~ There will be more about this later. ~hold tight~
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Congratulations to your daughter! That's fantastic! I know you'll enjoy having everyone in the house for a few days. I say celebrate your birthday big!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sign next to your daughter! I'm going to have to try to find one for my sister who is a math teacher. She earned her PhD from Texas A&M a few years ago. :)
ReplyDeleteJust know that you aren't swimming against the tide alone!
I was so excited to see your name in the "Linky" this morning. We are so proud of Bridget and all her accomplishments. She is special! I think many of us feel we're swimming against the stream politically. Oh this country is in a mess. And, congratulations to your cute little red-headed athlete. You have fun years ahead.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back. I always enjoy your blog. Congratulations to your daughter. Enjoy this beautiful day the lord has given us.
ReplyDeleteCongrat to your daughter! I love her "she has problems" sign -- so clever!! I've missed your posts.
ReplyDeleteSame for me on the tide but I will say, I often hear advice that says, "If everyone is heading one direction, you may want to go the other." So there is that...
ReplyDeleteYour Mom's verse is one of my favorites too. She was a beautiful precious lady.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Bridget for her accomplishments and her goals. Teaching full-time, raising 3 sons, working on her doctorate and all while being such an attractive woman. I am always impressed when you share with us about her.
ReplyDeleteAnd you son, he's a good guy -- close by, devoted to his family and to you. All good. You are blessed!
