The Wednesday Hodgepodge

I've been remiss in participating in the Hodgepodge recently.  Sorry, but life has just gotten in the way. But, looking forward to today's questions...........

1. August 24th is National Waffle Day...what's something you've 'waffled' on recently?

Webster's defines waffling as failing to make up one's mind

I can't think of a thing that I have waffled on recently.  I don't generally struggle making up my mind but I'm sure there  have been times I waffled, I just can't recall it right now.

2. Do you like waffles? Make your own or 'leggo my Eggo? Any favorite toppings or add-ins? Waffles or pancakes-which do you prefer?

I love waffles. I do have a waffle iron but it has not been used in years. I keep Eggo's in the freezer. I want nothing but butter and syrup, no other topping for me. I'll always choose waffles over pancakes but it has been ages since I have had either one.

3. Do you have any momentos from this summer (or past summers)? What do you do with them?

Well, I haven't kept mementos from any thing in a very long time.

But, as you know, I recently had a BIG birthday and my family gifted me with a sash and a crown.  I kept them and have them in a ziploc bag in my storage room.  I just couldn't seem to get rid of them right away.  Who knows if I will still have them in a year. ~time will tell~

4. One thing you'd like to do before summer ends?

Hummm..........other than the heat, I feel that summer has ended because the schools have all started.  And, I can't really think of one thing I want/need to do before it ends. I can say that I am more than ready for fall to arrive!

5. Life is too short to not make everyday count!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

And, this my friends, is Professor Broome! Bridget moved into her office at Oklahoma State several days ago, butyesterday was her first day to have students.  Quite a difference for her going from elementary kids to college kids.  She is beyond excited!  I did not know that she would be called Professor before she finished her doctorate but she is.  It's on the sign outside her office.  And, in a little over two more years (Lord willing) she will be Professor, Doctor Bridget Broome.  I have not a clue how she does it, but she is a very driven gal as well as highly organized and has a hands on husband. It's the only way she can pursue such a goal at this time in her life.  She makes us very proud!

  6. We rarely make waffles. You mentioning the waffle iron reminded me of a story from when Caleb was litle....he would get it out of the cabinet and pretend it was his dog and carry it around. LOL Nice to visit you, I haven't visited in a while. Have a good day!
