Prime Purchases

Well, I was a bit distracted this morning and completely forgot to post my Prime Purchases.  But, better late than never.  Here’s coming to you from Oklahoma.......

It's Prime Tuesday, a post I so enjoy putting together and I enjoy it even more when you find something that you like and want as well. Happy reading!

The Miss Julia Series

Recently a friend recommended the "Miss Julia" series to me.  I started this one a few days ago and it drew me in within the first chapter.  I think there are 20+ books in the series so if I stick with them, they will fill my reading time for quite a while.  They are easy, entertaining reading and likely not everyone's "cup of tea" but I'm thoroughly enjoying the first one.

27 x 27 inch Scarf

Surely all of you, if you have watched any of the briefings concerning the virus, have noticed Dr. Birxs' beautiful scarves.  She wears.them.every.day!!!  Someone said they are her power accessory and signature statement.  Well, all I can say is, she wears them well.  And, seeing hers has rekindled my love of the SQUARE scarf.  I have quite a few scarves but they are all rectangular.  I started browsing through Amazon and there are sooooo many to choose from.  I saw the one above that is 27"X 27" and a beautiful shade of blue and ONLY $10.99 and there are a zillion choices of colors and prints in a silk like fabric.  Very pretty!

Garden Flag

My spring and summer inside seasonal decor is lemons.  I love the look and found this lemon garden flag and it is perfect and such a great quality.  I put garden flags in one of our back flower beds and we can see it from the big windows across our back. Makes me smile!

Capri Joggers

My daughter told me about these.  I'm not sure I had even heard of capri joggers but, I am now a BIG fan.  They are so cute and come in 5 colors.  I do not care for the white tie at all and thankfully it is mainly for decoration, so I pulled it out of all of mine.  But, that's everyone's own choice. The fit is great, they are most comfortable and look really cute!

AMAZON

Scout Uptown Tote

Exclusive Uptown Girl Tote in Walk the Line

Doesn't every woman need "one more" tote.  I mean, really!  I got this one for my crochet stuff.  I have not crocheted in 12 years until this recent isolation and I have picked it back up.  I had started an afghan 12 years ago and FINALLY finished it and have now started on another one.  This cute bag sits by my recliner and holds all my yarn, needles and sissors.  It is made of a very heavy plastic and stands on it's on.  It's perfect for my needs.
AMAZON

Glass Foaming Soap Dispensers

I love foaming hand soap best of all hand soaps and was so delighted to find these foaming soap dispensers.  They are glass and come in 3 choices for the pump color.  I got the Burnished Bronze.  They are rather large so no need to refill them all that often.  These come 2 to a pack and they come empty but below you will find a link to foaming hand wash.  They are very attractive and work very well.

Foaming Soap Refill

And, here's the foaming hand wash refill.  It comes in a few fragrances.  I like the Sea Minerals fragrance.

AMAZON

Bathroom or Dining Disposable Guest Towels

I have disposable guest towels in our guest bathroom.  I'm pretty sure these are more popular than ever right now.  I've been using them for a long time and I often give them as gifts.  I think these are especially attractive.  There are lots to choose from and Amazon also has the holders for them as well.

And, there you have it, my Prime picks for April.

  1. Hey you!! I have been sadly AWOL from blog reading. Got all caught up and then fell desperately behind again. LIFE.

These kinds of posts are such fun. Have a tab open to take a look at the scarves. I tune into the news just to check out Dr. Birxs' scarves. And the silvery-pewtery dress she has worn a couple of times is so chic.

Love the idea of lemon-themed spring and summer decor. I do cactuses/cacti in the summer here. Thankful they have become quite popular so it is pretty easy to find things to add to my tier tray.

  2. Well I didn't know about the capri joggers. I will check those out. As long as they do not fit tight around my leg I think I would like them a lot. Great prime purchases. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. Great ideas, all of them. I am a big fan of scarves. They are a fun accessory and keep the back of my neck warm when arthritis flares up.

  4. I wore a scarf almost everyday during the 90's when I was a teacher. I'm glad to see they're still in style. Love the capri's, and I have a Scout bag that I take to the beach/travel. Thanks for sharing so many great ideas!

  7. I read one of the Miss Julia books awhile back...can't remember which one but I do remember I enjoyed it. I think Dr. Birx has rekindled a lot of people's thoughts about scarves. I wouldn't be surprised if they once again become a big fashion trend. It's simply too hot to wear the square silk type of scarf here in the spring and summer, but I do remember them being popular MANY years ago. I remember wearing them occasionally in high school. I actually have a "bunch" of square and rectangular scarves that came from my mother-in-law. I absolutely LOVE wear the long warm scarves in cold weather. One of my favorite fashion accessories. As for tote bags...I have more than my share and most don't get a lot of use. My DIL used to sell THIRTY ONE and I was either buying from her or she was giving them to me as gifts:) But I do love a cute bag!!! Thanks for the ideas you always share. You have fabulous taste!!! And these days (with no shopping, no stores open) Amazon is a God-send!!!

  8. Lea-I went through a period of wearing scarves for years and then kind of got away from it. I do love the way they dress up an outfit. I have a couple of those foaming hand soap dispensers and love them. I, too, like Method's Sea Salt but can't always find it. I bet I can order it online now that you posted that.

Have not read any of that series but will look at it on Amazon now.

    Happy Mother's Day- Diana

  10. Lovely purchases Lea. The foaming soap is a keeper. Love the Capri joggers. There are so many cute totes out there, one more is needed...lol the pineapple guest towels are darling. It makes sense to provide guests with throwaway towels. I also want to thank you for referring Libby to me for a blog makeover. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness. Hoping you Mother’s Day was lovely. Xo
