What a beautiful week it has been! Cooler temperatures and the feeling of fall have lightened my heavy heart. I love the change of the seasons, especially the fall and the spring. They are my favorites!
I always enjoy doing a little decorating inside and out and this week found me doing just that. I like for our front and back door to have a warm and inviting look and I thought these pretty sunflowers achieved that.

I did this post ahead of time because Hubby and I are in Dodge City today visiting our daughter and her family. You know, Clancy's Momma. ~smile~ We arrived yesterday and will be here until Tuesday. We have not seen them since the first of June so we are glad to be here. We will celebrate Clancy's 3rd birthday this weekend. It will be a little early, but he'll never know the difference in this weekend and Oct. 2nd. Seems it was just yesterday that we were celebrating his birth.

Autumn is a second spring where every flower is a leaf.
Beautiful fall decorations! Fall is truly a favorite. I always joke that my house looks the best in the fall landscape -- it's a dark hazelnut color with a rusty red door. Looks great with all those fall colors.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to hire you to come up here and add the fall decor. :) I'd get you some coffee or tea.
Thanks for linking up sweet friend.

Beautiful decorating, Lea! You inspired me! Enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteOk, you've tipped me over the edge! lol... I posted about trying to wait to decorate for Fall, but your gorgeous decorations have convinced me not to wait! It all looks wonderful!! Have a great ie with your gandson!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations look beautiful. I agree with decorating in a way that it will be up until Thanksgiving. I love that square wreath on the front door. Have a wonderful visit ~ enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove your decorations. I too start early in September so I can enjoy it longer and leave it all up through Thanksgiving. Enjoy your visit with family.
ReplyDeleteI can hear some joy in your voice, what with the change of season and getting to see your Clancy and his Momma. You've been needing the grace of refreshment lately. The house decorations look very appealing.
ReplyDeleteYour Fall decorations are perfect. I especially love the front door arrangements...soo pretty. I am with you...the less I do the happier I am. I just have a few touches here and there and I love them and they do all the way through Thanksgiving so I then change them up for Christmas. ENJOY your trip...sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely fall decorations. I have to confess that I don't have a lot of fall decorations, and I think I need to change that! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove fall =)
ReplyDeleteFavorite memories... long walks with my soon-to-be-hubby and crunching the leaves.
Enjoy your time with Clancy! (and his folks) ~ ♥ ~
Great decorations as usual Lea! I just can't bring myself to decorate for Fall until August. It doesn't even seem like Fall here until the end of October or beginning of November, and then we have a very short Fall before winter arrives. I did buy my first Fall scented candle of the season though, and that is putting me in the mood!
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations!! We are having our "Indian summer" over here, but the temps have gone up....not as hot as everywhere else that was hot this summer, but hot enough for me. We are expecting mid90 temps on our upcoming trip. Happy birthday to the little guy!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fall touches! I get very homesick this time of year. Our "fall" is just way too hot. This weekend I will take down all of the patriotic decorations and try to get into the fall spirit.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying all of that time with your sweet Clancy. He's a lucky little boy!
xoxo
I love your island...I need to autumn-ize mine : ) I still feel like its no longer summer but not quite fall. Maybe this weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust thinking about digging out the fall decor makes me tired. If I procrastinate long enough, it'll be Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful your home looks all decorated for fall. You are quite creative and have a flair for design, it seems. :)
ReplyDeleteSo your Clancy is turning three! That is the age of the children in my preschool class. I love that age as they are still wanting to be cuddled and hugged. And yet they are little sponges, eager to learn. I love to see the light come on in their eyes when they finally get something (they learned). Enjoy your special time. They grow up all too quickly!
Blessings and love,
Debbie

ReplyDeleteHow beautiful....too hot here still, so going to wait awhile
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit...may it be refreshing and full of joy
