Miscellany Monday

Okay, girlies, we only have 11 more Mondays until Christmas. Just thought you might want/need to know this.  But, for now, let's join Carissa for our Monday fun - Miscellany Monday!

Awe........

Sissy (our daughter and her family's dog) gave birth to these adorable little Corgi puppies about 7 weeks ago.  Clancy had Poppa outside playing with them every chance he could while we were there. You know the thing about puppies is that they grow up to be dogs.  I guess sort of like babies growing up to be big people.  ~chuckle~

A balancing act........
Little boys can find things to play with or things to play on no matter where they are.  While we were loading our car at the hotel, Clancy spotted the luggage carriers and could not resist playing on those while CiCi and Poppa were busy.  He did find himself in a predicament  when both racks began rolling while he had one foot on each of them.

Birthdays......

Last weekend found us in Dodge City celebrating Clancy's 4th birthday.  Bridget had it at their local park which has an adjoining zoo and it could not have been a more perfect place for little ones to gather for a birthday celebration.  This was Clancy's first party that included someone outside of family.  He was beside himself with excitement and we were thrilled to be able to be a part of the "big day."

This weekend found us celebrating Hanna Beth's 3rd birthday.  Her celebration was at her house with mainly family.  Hanna Beth thoroughly enjoyed her celebration and while she gets excited, she is the most even tempered child I believe I have ever known.  She is so easy going and while everyone around her can be revved up, she remains a "steady Betty."  Love, love this little sweetheart!

The first week of October is a fun filled busy week for our family as we celebrate birthdays.

The Color Run.........
My niece and her Mom participated in the Des Moines
color run this past weekend as did 27,000 other folks.
I had never heard of it until now but if I had lived close
enough, I think I would have joined them in the fun.
It was a 3 mile race and I do believe that I could have
survived that distance. ~smile~  If you want to know more
about this charitable fun run click here.   Way to go
Ashley and Suzy!!

And, I leave you with this......

  2. That puppy is so cute ... I'm not sure that I could have resisted bringing one home with me. ;-)

Birthday parties at that age are always so much fun!

I'm not a runner (although I wish I were), but if I were going to do a race, I think I'd like to do a color run. They seem like so much fun.

And I just love that reminder to stay cool. You find the cutest little things to wrap up your posts with.

  5. So do you now have a new puppy at home? : ) Puppies are hard to resist!

Your grandchildren are adorable! Always good to have someone in the family who is a go with the flow kind of girl.

The bridesmaid run was happening when I was in Boston. It benefits Big Sisters program and everyone wears old bridesmaid dresses for the run. Really fun to watch!

  6. What fun to be a grandmother it must be! Clancy's expression in the picture with the puppy is too cute
, and I love it looks like Hanna Beth might just fall into her birthday bag!

  7. Aren't grandchildren parties the most fun? That Clancy is growing up and changing. He is looking like a little man instead of that cherub-faced little boy. Precious! And Hannah Beth, so precious and getting so tall. They just don't stay little very long do they. Just plain joy!

  9. My first thought when I read your post was ...oh my, Christmas is coming! It's hard to imagine as it's still warm here in Phoenix.

Happy birthday to Clancy! He would fit right in with my class of 3-4 year olds. It's funny what they enjoy playing with. I think we could save the parents lots of money if only they would use their imagination.

Puppies are so adorable but yes, they do grow up. I would still love a dog but my hubby is allergic and our place is much too small. So I get to visit other people's dogs.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
