I've never participated in Friday Fragments but I always enjoy reading them and decided that I needed to participate today. So, my fragments from the week go something like this...........
********
Towards the end of Sept. Hubby always plants mums in the backyard flower beds. They have been really "showing off" the past couple of weeks. It's almost as if they are saying, "fall has officially arrived." Yea!
********
Yep! that's "yours truly!" I found this mask about a month ago and got it. I am not into "scary" for Halloween but I thought this looked like a very old person. (but seems some thought it looked very scary) So, I put it on for just long enough to take a few pics Wednesday evening.
********
My little Princess who was dressed as Mary Had A Little Lamb, enjoyed playing with the mask after I took it off.
********
We had so many cute little guys and gals stop by Wed. evening and then this load on the trailer, must have been 15 kiddos and 3-4 adults. Of course, we had some "way to old" to be trick or treating come by too. Some folks just never grow up!
********
Yesterday afternoon I hosted a F.A.I.T.H. Jewelry Show and what fun! It is some of the most beautiful fashion jewelry on the market and all is made right here in the U.S. and it is owned by a dynamic Christian woman who shares her faith through her business. We had a fun afternoon of playing and of course, buying.
********
Today my Princess is spending the day with me and helping me prepare for dinner this evening. My Dad is about to celebrate his 83rd birthday and we'll be celebrating it tonight. His request was grilled steaks, so steaks it will be with all the trimmings. We are just fortunate that he's still with us and we definitely want to celebrate.

That's my week in a nutshell and here's wishing you a wonderful weekend and I leave you with this..........
ReplyDeleteThe mask looks like real skin - - - at least in a picture it does.
Cute trick-or-treaters.
That mask looks so real that I thought it was a doctored photo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose mums are gorgeous!
Happy birthday to your Dad ... so glad you are able to celebrate with him.
Good morning! The mums are gorgeous, and the mask is really a good one...soo funny. Happy birthday to your dad! May he be blessed with many more. Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Friday Fragments!
ReplyDeleteThat mask was very real and a bit creepy.
Our Halloween has been postponed until next Wednesday..oh Sandy:(
I had not heard of FAITH jewelry. It looks beautiful.
Have a great weekend...
Welcome, CiCi! I really enjoyed your fragments--LOVEd the mask! Wow. I would love to own one of those, too; it would be a big hit at my middle school.
ReplyDeleteYour husband is a keeper--Those mums are amazing!
My senior in high school trick-or-treated for her last year, along with our Norwegian exchange student. Kendall has a major sweet tooth, and I figured she could be into many worse things. :)
Love, love, love the mini-poster quote! Do you happen to know the source, as I would love to Pin it, but I like to link back the original source when I Pin stuff. thx
Happy Birthday to your dear dad. My mom is 83, also, and we're looking forward to many more birthdays with her. Have fun prepping with your little princess, and have a great weekend.
Please wish your dad a happy birthday for me and give him an extra hug. What a joy to be able to sit down and celebrate his life after what he's been through .
ReplyDeleteThe mask was ...um...well...kinda funny, kinda creepy. You know that nervous laugh that babies laugh when the Jack in the box pops up? That's how I reacted to the photo.
Love the mums.
Welcome to Friday Fragments!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to have somebody new join the party, even if I'm not the hostess and don't need to worry about providing the snacks.
My daughter said her co-worker showed up at work in the nursing home with an old lady mask and nobody batted an eye. That was funny.
Those mums are absolutely gorgeous! And that mask, a little scary. Have a wonderful time celebrating your daddy on his birthday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good mask that is! It looks rubber. I had a rubber one that was very hot!
ReplyDeletethe mums are wonderful...that would make me smile each day
ReplyDeletemask..how fun!
Oh your Dad's B-day, how awesome!
Your mums look beautiful! Oh my that mask is very cool, I like it.
ReplyDeleteI know we had a few parents dressed up who were more than happy to hold up a bag for their candy....that's just not right in my opinion. The jewelry is very pretty. Happy Birthday to your Dad.
