It has been a long, long time since I wrote some letters and it's past time to write a few. So, here goes..........
Dear President Trump - I can't help but wonder if you wished you had never had the idea of running for President. I mean, is it worth all the media nonsense and crazy folks spouting off to you and your family? I have to believe that you truly desire to "make America great again" or you would have never run because you had a most comfortable life before and not near so many folks "up in your business." But, thanks for hanging in there and not backing down. You are definitely "one of a kind." I do have just one suggestion, quit tweeting and don't feel you always have to have the last word. ~just my thoughts~
Dear Hillary - You LOST, plain and simple!
Dear Designers and Clothing Manufactures - there is no such thing as "One Size Fits All." It should read, "One Size Fits No One" instead. You need to remove this size from your production line, isn't Small, Medium and Large, etc. good enough?
Dear Sarah - hats off to you as the President's Press Secretary. You have been treated so unkindly and you have risen above it. Never forget that what goes around comes around. Keep up the good job!
Dear Airlines - I have never understood why you do not allow the folks making a tight connection to disembark the plane before those that have longer lay overs. It has bewildered me forever. It just couldn't be that hard. If you happen to get a seat that is over half way back it can take a good 15 minutes to get off the plane and that can be 15 precious minutes if you have a long trek to your next connection. You have certainly orchestrated a whole lot of other changes in recent years, why don't you change this as well?
Dear Wal-Mart - I suppose you are pushing your customers to do their shopping online or either check their items out at the self checkout. First, there are still folks in this country that do not own a computer and folks that have no idea about on line shopping. And, there are plenty of folks that have a great deal of difficulty using your self checkout. Come on, have a heart and get on the customer service bandwagon. Note: I have personally become quite proficient with your self checkout out of sheer necessity.
Dear Readers - have you ever heard of the app, Moment? Well, it is an app that tracks the time we spent on our phone/tablet. Statistics prove that most people spend an average of 4 hours a day on their phone/tablet. That's right, 4 hours a day!!! Folks that is 28 hours a week, which is more than 1 day a week. Glory be, when I heard this I was shocked! I have put the app on my phone in hopes that it will make me more mindful of how many times I pick up/use my phone/tablet. Now, I wonder what a difference it would make in our lives and the world if we read our Bibles and prayed 4 hours a day. Certainly something to ponder..............
Blessings abundant for a great new week!!

DeleteI love Sarah Sanders! What a true, hold her own, respectable lady! I feel so sorry for the elderly with the self checkouts and darn digital couponing. One local grocery store did away with the online coupons as the retirement communities complained and I’m so glad they listened, it’s my favorite grocery to shop. Great letters post darling lady. Blessings on your Monday!
ReplyDeleteGreat letters, Lea! Right on point!
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
ReplyDelete******!!!!!! BRILLIANT !!!!!! *******
ReplyDeleteThe proper address for "Hillary" is Madam Secretary, as she is the former Secretary of State. She has never disputed that she lost. For some reason the President is still obsessed with her. If he were doing his job properly instead of watching so much Fox News he wouldn't have time to tweet about her.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the letter! Oh I may just need to do myself a letter one day too. My husband refuses to do self-checkout. I will if I am in a hurry and there is no line there! And I am going to have to laugh out loud! NO, NO, NO...One size does not fit all!!! Hugs and blessings, Cindy P.S. 4 hours a day???? WOW!
ReplyDeleteenjoyed ALL of your points and agree with all of them as well. Your last one about time spent on our devices was downright frightening. And your right....if even half of that time was spent in the Word or prayer, can you just imagine the difference? Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteWe talked about the app Moment recently in a Bible class where we were discussing technology. My husband added it to his phone last week. I thought it would be interesting to add to my tablet but haven't yet.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, it has been a long time since you posted "Letters" on your blog. I had forgot about them but I'm glad you revived it today.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on just about everything you said, especially with regard to those in the White House. May the Lord help them!!!
Amen to all your letters! Add: Madam Secretary, former Secretary of State, Bleach bit is not a cleaning cloth... you're not stupid, stop trying to scam the American public that you weren't totally aware that you were acting unethically if not criminally! Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteha ha, great letters Lea!!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Oh my....I absolutely LOVE this post. All of your letters are wonderful (although I can't identify with the airline one since I've only ever flown once in my life...I know, hard to believe!) Love the letter to Pres. Trump. If I wrote him I would say exactly the same thing! The one to Hilary....PRICELESS!!! The one to Sarah...she deserves to hear some support. Thankfully she's a southern girl who was taught manners! As to WM...ordered online from them first and last time couple months ago...long story, ridiculous experience!!! I may have to "borrow" this idea for a post some day...a truly clever idea! (Hope you are staying cool...we were at 106 here today with heat index!!!)
ReplyDeleteLea, GREAT post- thank you for saying what so many of us think on ALL of those items. I am so sick of all the negativity in this land right now. Thank God for people that are able to stand strong in the face of adversity and truly work towards making a better life for all of us.
ReplyDeleteGreat job here today- xo Diana
Fantastic post, could not have said it better myself!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Lea. Something really to ponder. Thank you for the well wishes. My mom is going to have surgery, so we hope she will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteFabulous post! Boy, you are right on,Lea.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be something if we really did spend that kind of time in the Word of God or in prayer. Lives would certainly be changed.
God bless you~
So many excellent thoughts on each topic! I found myself agreeing throughout this entire post! :) Well said, sweet friend! xo!
ReplyDeleteGreat letters, Lea and such a neat post! I must get that app! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI love your letter to President Trump and to Hilary the loser! Why can't people move on already?? You are right about the people who have tight connections. I must say that just happened on my flight from Tampa to Denver and they did get those people off first! My husband is retiring tomorrow and his biggest reason is he just can't stand to travel anymore. He hopes he never has to get on a plane again.
