Thanks to Claudya over at Unknown Mami for subing for Mrs. 4444 and Friday Fragments this summer. I love this format and sharing bits and pieces of my, oh, so exciting, week!

The Princess has been taking private swimming lessons this week. She loves the water but she isn't too fond of putting her precious little face under water and guess what? You gotta put your face under the water to swim. But, hey, she's only 3 1/2 years old, she'll get this figured out soon enough. She does, however, enjoy riding on the back of her instructor while she swims her around the pool.

I had a late Father's Day dinner last night for my Dad, my Hubby and our Son. We were gone on Father's Day, but, it's important that they are celebrated, doesn't matter if I missed the actual day. Right?
I fixed Pulled Pork with the seasoning mix shown in the picture above. If you have not tried it, then I suggest that you do. So, so good and it's especially good if you put some Sweet Baby Ray's bar-b-que sauce on it too. Good enough to almost make you "slap your pappy." Yummy!!! I fixed baked beans and a potato casserole and then for dessert we had..........
this! Pillsbury has come out with these neat new cake mixes that are very "summery." I decided to try the Orangesicle and we were not disappointed. It was quick and easy and the perfect ending to a tasty meal. I baked it in my bundt pan, so it even looked a bit fancy. ~smile~

I received this picture with a text on Tuesday from our daughter. Seems that Clancy had just plum tuckered out from a big day of swimming and playing and NO nap. This child has always been able to sleep anywhere at anytime. Check out those rosey cheeks!
~~~~~~
Hubby has been busy fishing this week and this was the result of yesterday's catch. How 'bout them apples ~ excuse me, fish!! That ice chest is holding 33 really big fish and Hubby had the best time. It was pretty much every time he and his buddy dropped a line, they caught a fish. Now, that's fun fishing folks!!
~~~~~~
And, a happy weekend to all of you!

And, a happy weekend to all of you!
Poor little Batman wore himself out with saving the world and all.
ReplyDeleteThe fish look like crappie which are fun to catch AND so yummy.
Fisherhubby practices catch and release, so even though he catches lots o fish - they rarely come home with him.
T#4 will be 4 in October, and she is the only one of the four Ts who is not a fan of the pool. :-(
ReplyDeleteI've been having a hankering for pulled pork, and now, thanks to you, I have no excuse not to make some this weekend! I didn't know that there was a pulled pork seasoning mix! Yum!
I had to laugh when I saw your photos of your granddaughter swimming with her head above water. That was me! However, I get to go with our preschoolers to swim lessons at summer camp each day. The swim instructors attempt to coax each child to experience putting their head below and to blow bubbles. It becomes a fun game of blowing bubbles. It seems to work so just a thought for your sweet one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the crock pot recipe and also the new summery flavors of cake mix. It's always a pleasure to visit you.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
I loved summertime and swimming lessons...I kind of miss it! The cake mix sounds different and yummy! Love to see little sleeping heads in cars, haha. Enjoy your week-end!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your fragments! This is my first week playing along. Your father's day meal sounds wonderful, and congrats to the hubby or the amazing catch! I love fishing days like that!

Wow, your husband is a serious fisherman! What a catch-- you'll be eating good :-)
ReplyDeleteYour princess will have her face in the water before she knows it. One day it'll just happen and she'll be sooo proud of herself.
Happy weekend, jj
That cake mix got my attention! Now it will be calling my name as i try to hurry past the cake mix aisle. Love those flavors.
ReplyDeleteThe fish are impressive. Does he clean them too? I'd say it was a day of bounty on the water. Happy fish fry! :)
That is a lot of fish....enjoy! I have not tried that pulled pork mix but I will definitely check it out. Also the Orangesicle looks tasty too.
