Well, I will continue with miscellaneous things about myself today and this should wrap it up. If you missed part 1, then you can click here and read it. You will likely know more about me than you really care to know. ~smile~ But, hopefully you have found these tidbits both interesting and entertaining.
*I am a girly girl, love all things feminine and enjoy being a Southern Belle
*I think laughter is the best medicine and the louder, the better!
*I prefer pie over cake
*I prefer classic style clothes. My favorite stores for clothes are Talbots, Chicos and Cabi (not a store, but I love their clothes)
*I do NOT like tomatoes (I know, really strange!)
*Money was very tight when I was a teenager and to earn extra money I would do our neighbors ironing, clean their houses and babysit their children. Now, not all at one time, but at various times. ~smile~ And, I will not even bother to tell you what I got paid but it provided me with some spending money.
*I'm a Spanx kinda gal
*I take a handful of vitamins and minerals every day of my life and I do hope they are all doing what they are suppose to do
*I use Mozilla Firefox, NOT Internet Explorer
*The saddest day of my life, thus far, was Dec. 1, 2008. That was the day my Momma died. She died very unexpectedly.
*I have such hopes and dreams for my Grandchildren and want more than anything for them to love the Lord their God with all their heart and soul and desire to serve Him faithfully.
*Monday through Friday my day begins at 5:40AM and ends about 10:30PM
*I am not a daytime TV person at all, you will usually find "easy listening" music playing during the day at our house if I'm here by myself.
*I want to grow old gracefully
*I don't ever want to stop learning
*I love my Chi flat iron
*I think Pioneer Woman is the bomb
*While I usually agree with him, Glen Beck wears me out with his "ranting and raving."
*I still like to dress up on Sundays and can still be found wearing hose, yep, that's right!
*I began blogging on March 21,2009 and never knew what a fun adventure it would be.
This will end my "All About Me" and thanks to Carissa for hosting a random day for us. It's one of my favorite things to do on Monday.
Here's wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day!
I loved Part I and enjoyed Part II equally!! That picture at the end is so priceless :) You know what's funny? Prior to about a year ago I would have also said I do not like tomatoes but all of a sudden I can eat them on just about anything. So strange! Happy Valentine's Day to you, sweet friend! xoxo, Kelly
ReplyDeleteI LOVE posts like this. It's fun reading about a person!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! I hope you'll enter my giveaway! Love being in the South and a big YES to Pioneer Woman esp her cinammon rolls!
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable! The picture of you is presh! Work it girl! : )
ReplyDeleteI should try some spanx... I've heard they work like a miracle!
I feel the same about Glenn... I used to listen to him on the radio but I can't handle it anymore. The tv show is especially annoying to me. It's scary to me that he is somewhat becoming a religious type figure. I don't think a lot of Christians realize he is a mormon. Anyways...
I'm certain you'll grow old gracefully. But that is many decades away! You're too young still to even think of that! : )
I have enjoyed learning more about you.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear the loss of your mom.
I understand Grandchildren are awesome.
I'm not much of a t.v. person. I watch a few game shows at night. I mostly enjoy listening to Contemporary Christian.
Happy Valentine's!
These kinds of posts are great to read...I feel like I know you better now and we have much in common.
ReplyDeleteHi Lea! I loved reading these random things about you. We have a lot in common, except for a few things--like, I LOVE tomatoes! However, I do dress up for church on Sunday morning, and you'll find me wearing hose--except during the summer. Really enjoyed this!
ReplyDeleteYou are the seond person I've heard of in less than a week who doesn't like tomatoes! James and I had a friend in BR who didn't like them either, but I didn't know that for a long time. He'd pop over for dinner frequently, and I swear I served him something with tomatoes in almost every time he came over. He finally told me after about a year that he didn't like them.
ReplyDeleteI still like to dress up for church too, but without the hose. The last time I remember wearing them was at my wedding. Ha!
This was fun to read!! I also use Firefox, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe photo has me saying, "YOU are the bomb!" =)
ReplyDeleteI saw a cute valentine idea along that line... Wrap a tootsie pop sucker in black tissue and wind a sparkly pipe cleaner around the stick for the fuse. You are the bomb! ha ha
Fun, fun post...you have such a fun personality. Love the spandx, laughter is the best, and I too hope all my vitamins and minerals do their job!!
ReplyDeleteI want to grow old gracefully...don't know if I am!
You found my blog today by coming from Just Breathe, so I returned the visit!
ReplyDeleteFun place you "run" here.
Love that rose/you picture - - - I'm sure there's some special photoshop effect that helped you fade out all but that red - - - really cool look!
I loved reading the random facts about you! I should be taking a handful of vitamins each day, but I can't stand to swallow them. I wish they could all be in liquid form. I am so thankful you started blogging! You are so fun!
