Wednesday's Random Dozen

1. What insect are you most afraid of? Well, to be truthful, I don't like any of them, but guess the spider would be the
the worst. My husband always tell me to remember that I am 1000 X bigger than they are but somehow, that just doesn't matter. They are creepy!
  2. What is the greenest/most organic thing about you or that you do? Ouch! this is very embarrassing but I need to work on this terribly.  Our city does not do any of the recycling, so therefore, neither do we. I do have the cloth type grocery bags and do enjoy using them, but there's so much more I could do and this is serving as a good reminder for me.  I do like some of the neat "Green" quotes such as "Live Green, Love Green, Think Green."

  • Go Green

  • It pays to be green

  • Join the green side

  • Go green or go home

  • Don’t be mean Go green

  • It’s not easy being green

  • Give green a chance

  • Live Green, Love Green, Think Green

  • Smells like green spirit

  • Go Green

  • It pays to be green

  • Join the green side

  • Go green or go home

  • Don’t be mean Go green

  • It’s not easy being green

  • Give green a chance

  • Live Green, Love Green, Think Green

  • Smells like green spirit

  •  3. Tell me about a recurring dream that haunts you. I have never had a recurring dream, in fact, it is a rarity for me to even dream.  Not sure what that means..........

    4. Have you ever missed a flight? What were the circumstances? Yes, and one in particular really stands out. I had a connecting flight in Atlanta and it arrived late, but I was just sure that if I took off like a "wild woman" that I could make it to the gate before they closed it to make my flight home. Well, just as I arrived at the gate, the gate attendant was closing the door. She looked at me and said, "sorry, you'll have to catch another flight."  It was one of those times that I knew to just keep my mouth shut because I was so upset. I ended up having to stay the night in Atlanta and catching a flight out the next morning. I am just sure that she could have opened that door and let me on. ~smile~

    5. What do you consider your best feature? I think it would be my smile, I have a big smile and I smile a lot and thanks to my wonderful Dentist and good insurance, my teeth are in good shape.
     6. What was the last concert you went to? In January I went with my step Mom to a Gospel Concert.  I'm not much of a Gospel music fan but I did enjoy spending the time with my step Mom and I got my dose of Gospel music for a while.~wink~ But, I am looking forward to going to a concert with a "different flair" on Oct. 30th. I will be going to see Cher in concert at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Yipee! can't wait!

    7. Describe the most embarrassing church moment you ever experienced. Well, now since my Dad was a Baptist Minister, I could tell you all kinds of embarrassing moments, but I'll spare you.  One that I remember the most was about 20+ years ago when an ensemble that I sang with at church was performing. Another gal and I came in "full throttle" when no one was suppose to be singing.  Well, as if that wasn't enough, we then got tickled and simply could not pull ourselves together.  My husband and children were in the congregation totally embarrassed. Our Music Minister was most forgiving and gave us a "second chance."

    8. Are you a whistler, hummer or singer? Oh, definitely a singer!

    9. George Washington Carver said, "I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in." What is God saying to you through nature today, or this very minute? That if He can make all the intricate details of nature, why would I ever doubt that He can handle all the intricate details of my life.

    10. On September, 1, 1752, the Liberty Bell arrived in Philadelphia. What memorable event will take place in your life on September 1, 2010? Another day older and another day wiser I hope!

    11. Taco Bell or the Liberty Bell? (You must choose.) No contest, the Liberty Bell that is our country's symbol of independence and an icon of liberty and justice.

    12. Do you believe men and women can have purely platonic friendships?Oh, can't wait to read the various answers to this.........I personally do not think it is a good idea for a man and woman to have a friendship because I think it is putting ones self in a dangerous and compromising situation.(I'm assuming they are married)  So, guess my answer would be no, I do not think men and women can have a purely platonic friendship in most instances.  I think the definition of a platonic relationship is love without sexual contact. No, just can't see that within the bonds of marriage.

As always, Linda has come up with some "doozie" questions and if you would like to see more answers, check out 2nd-cup-of-coffee.  You will not be disappointed!

    1. That spider is going to give me bad dreams. ::shudder:: ;) Oddly enough I am most afraid of moths, crazy I know.

    2. I'm not a huge fan of Taco Bell, but I'm also not American, so I don't know what I'd put for that question...

I don't get how so many people can be scared of spiders! They are one of my favourite insects, I find them so cute... I probably like them just a little less than butterflies and a little more than bees and ladybugs... just love them!

    7. I am scared of bees. I got stung badly when I was 6. The sight of them in my yard makes my heart race for a moment.

I don't care for Taco Bell either. I think their ground beef smells like the Alpo we feed our dogs. Yuck.

      Hugs!
